It is regarded that those who can afford the tuition fees should be given opportunities to study at colleges, additionally, they had best not look forward to receive any money from the government. In my opinion, I do not subscribe to this idea for some reasons.
On the one hand, the excellent students will miss a chance to develop their own talent by dint of financial problems. Firstly, taking courses in universities creates better conditions to promote academic skills. Each individual can pick up practical skills not only in university but in the society as well. Moreover, they are likely to approach professionals who can inspire them to study harder. Secondly, many dreams of potential students to master a major can be thwarted because of financial difficulties. Indeed, tuition fees at universities will be high unless students are supported by government. Those who excel at a certain field need qualified education to advance. For instance, supposing a pupil is good at chemistry, he will be better when studying in a research institute or becoming a chemist.
I do believe that education is a fundamental human right without discrimination of the rich or the poor. First of all, this develops every person to access to education of good quality. Providing education also means ensuring the equal rights and justice for both the wealth and the needy, which can decrease the disparity between rich and poor. Second, the certain amount of employees will lack qualification for not having degrees. Under the pressure of joblessness and the demands for labor quality, we really need a degree of a college course. That helps create further opportunity upon applying for a job.
In conclusion, from my point of view, government should raise funds to encourage students to attend post-secondary education.
