Write a letter to the course tutor. In your letter

Dear Peter,

I am Jerry, a student in your evening Psychology class at Kellog Social Science School. I am writing to let you know my current situation which affects my commitment to this course.

Besides attending Kellog School, I am also having a full-time job as a Marketer in a multi-national corporation. Recently my job requires me to travel across the countries in the region. The travelling is so frequent that I barely stay in New York city, and therefore have been unable to attend your class for the past few weeks. In order not to affect other class members, I have decided to withdraw from the course.

I enjoyed your class so much and I would like to continue studying Psychology in another class conducted by you. I have checked the schedule and the earliest next class will be commenced in this September. By then I would have settled my work travelling already, and would be able to concentrate more on the class. Therefore, I sincerely hope you can register a slot for me in that class.
