The graph below shows in percentage terms the changing patterns of domestic access to modern technology in homes in the UK.

A glance at the line graph provided compares the percentage of domestic access in the United Kingdom, namely CD player, mobile phone, home computer and internet access over the period from 1996 to 2003. Overall, what stands out from the figure that a general trend is upwards.

As shown in the graph, Britain witnessed a gradual increase in the proportion of people using CD player, mobile phone and home computer as well. In which, the percentage of citizens accessing to mobile phone went up considerably. In 1996, around 60% used CD player, which overwhelmed during the period under the study, grew to more than 80% in the final year. Likewise, home computer doubled to somewhere in the vicinity of 60%, while the corresponding figure of mobile phone was higher at 70% in the same year. It is striking that mobile phone had the fasted growth among three technologies listed above.

                In 1998, internet appeared and experienced an exponential increase in the pattern of access to this application. To be specific, it held a share of 10% in 1998 and after that, internet access rocketed at approximately 50% in 2002/2003.

                Once noticeable feature which should be highlighted here is that these technologies become popular in Bristish life, especially CD player played an indispensable role.

A glance at the line graph provided provides (describes/shows/illustrates is better) compares the percentage of domestic access the proportion of the British using latest devices in the United Kingdom, namely CD player, mobile phone (= cell phone), home computer (= desktop PC) and internet access (= the Internet) over the period from 1996 to 2003.

Overall, what stands out from the figure that a general trend is upwards. the figure for all of newest technology has an upward trend over the period shown. Moreover, CD player made up the biggest share while the least was the Internet.

As shown in the graph, Britain witnessed a gradual significant (gradual = slow) increase in the proportion of people using CD player, mobile phone, Internet access and home computer as well. In which, the percentage of citizens accessing to mobile phone went up considerably.

In 1996, around nearly 60% used CD player, which overwhelmed during the period under the study, grew to more than 80% in the final year. Likewise, and home computer doubled to somewhere in the vicinity of 60%, while the corresponding figure of mobile phone was higher at 70% in the same year. It is striking that mobile phone had the fasted growth among three technologies listed above.  in 2002/2003. Besides, cell phone fluctuated during the period shown and reached a peak at about 70% in this year. In 1998, internet appeared and experienced an exponential increase in the pattern of access to this application. The line graph gives information about the change in domestic access to more than technology in home of Britian from 1996 to 2003.

It is clear from the graph that, all of 4 figures experienced the increase over the period shown. Furthermore, the figure of CD player was by far highest during the research period.

In 1996/97,  there were just 3 types of equipments used popularly in the UK, such as CD player, mobile phone, home computer. CD player was used the most, the figure of it took up 60 percent of people in England. The second most popular was home computer, in vicinity of 30 percent of people  used it in their home. And the last one, just under 20 percent of them chose mobile phone.

In 1998/99, internet access appeared in the UK. It was used so few in households in the UK, about 10 percent of residents used it in their home. However, there was a steady increase in the amount of internet access from 1998 to 2003, but, in 2003, the figure of it was still lowest, at a bit more than 40% . The highest was still CD player, at around 80%. Lower are mobile phone and home computer, at 70% and 55% respectively
