Task 1: the graph shows in percentage terms the changing patterns of domestic access to modern technology in homes in the UK.

Bài làm:

The graph illustrates the percentage terms of the varying trends of domestic access to latest technology at homes in the UK from 1996 to 2003.

In general, the trends were upward through the years. The internet access increased steadily up to over 40% in 2003, and it is the lowest percentage in comparison with the other patterns. In the contrary, CD player had the highest point; its access percentage is around 80. Obviously, CD player’s percentage almost doubled the internet access’. Home computer gradually developed with stability and nearly reach 60%, but it was not higher than Mobile phone. Although Mobile phone fluctuated during the whole time, the fluctuation was heading to a positive direction, which then hit the second position in 2003.

In conclusion, all four patterns were increasing quite gently, namely CD player had the highest percentage while Internet access was in the opposite and Mobile phone was the only one had slight fluctuation.
