Firstly, their houses and lands, where they have lived for a long time could be displaced for new constructions, such as hotels and restaurants in order to serving foreign travellers. Secondly, the inhabitants may have to share their water supply and heritage sites with the oversea visitors, this can lead to overuse their natural resources and cultural destination. Finally, tourism could cause increased of pollution through traffic emission and noise.
There are some potential ways to change the negative attitudes of the local residents. One possibility is that government should emphasise and publicise the benefits of tourism widely on media which help people to understand the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Tourism does not only provide a considerable contribution to their economy but creates jobs for themselves and next generation. In addition, authorities and government need take actions to conserve and develop natural resources and cultural heritage by promotion from oversea tourist through their spending on visiting the historical attraction and using services.
