It is acknowledged that maintaining discipline in educational institutions with hyperactive children has become a challenging task. While some people assume that teachers are responsible for training these juveniles, others consider the contribution of parents in this duty as essentials. This essay will delve into both of the two opinions and express my personal perspective on the topic.
On the one hand, there are two main reasons why educating adolescents about discipline is seen as the responsibility of teachers. It should be first noted that since most of the daytime of students is spent at school, these lecturers seem to be more influential on them. To specifically exemplify, it is evident that as for some teenagers having several secret sharing which cannot be revealed to parents, teachers can be the only reliable and trustworthy people for them. These study instructors also are role models to shape disciplined attitudes among students due to their standard behaviors. Additionally, in the academic environment, class rules have undeniable persuasiveness and precision. Hence, the juveniles feel easy and comfortable following regulations.
On the other hand, the assumption that parents have the primary accountability for teaching their children about discipline is not unfounded. No one can deny that the main responsibility of schools and teachers is imparting theoretical knowledge, not looking after student behaviors. Obviously, the lecturers who often are snowed under with heavy workloads and hectic schedules cannot supervise each alumnus properly. Conversely, parents are in the best position to educate teenagers thanks to the understanding of their children’s characters and habits. The frequency of regular contact is another factor which helps the juveniles to learn about discipline from their parents.
To sum up, although myriad people are in the opinion of regarding discipline as the duty of teachers, I agree with the opposite view which states that this is the role of parents.
