Perhaps no subject in contemporary society is as debatable as the matter of using domestic food or international food. Some people argue that using locally produced food is beneficial for the environment and the economy and I do agree with this opinion.

On the one hand, consuming internationally produced food is beneficial in somehow. From the economical perspective, using overseas food helps to reduce the monopoly and increase the quality of products within a country. For instance, in order to satisfy Vietnamese consumers and compete to international companies, a large number of local businesses are now trying to enhance their service and product quality as well.

On the other hand, apart from the practical advantages expressed above I believe that the benefits of using domestic food outweigh the contrary. First of all, shipping food overseas leads to a harmful affection on the environment. Because of the process of transporting abroad, people use many vehicles such as airplanes, containers, etc which producing a lot of carbon dioxin to the environment. This can cause heavier air pollution and damage folk's health. Secondly, from the economical perspective, using internationally produced food can be the culprit of threatening diseases. Because of the long journey oversea and the undisciplined control of customs. Many products can not be ensured about its quality and somehow itself create some harmful chemical ingredients. Many bad visions can happen if people, unfortunately, use these detrimental goods.

In conclusion, it seems to me that consuming food shipped from far away is not as economically and eco-friendly as using local food.
