A more detailed look at the graph reveals that there was a minor fluctuation in the fertility rates in both countries over ten year period before they reached first peaks at nearly 13% in the USA and 15% in China. Since 1930, both nations plummeted suddenly and hit a low of approximately 5% in 1940. A ten year period later witnessed a rapid increase in the birth rates , in 1950 , China and US reached the second peaks , at 15% and 20% respectively.
Turning to the next 45 years from 1955 to 2000, there was a downward trend in the fertility ratio. In 1955, the proportions of births were totally different, with the rate of USA was considerably higher than China. From 1955 onwards, the plunge of fertility percentage in USA was from around 15% to 7% in comparison with China, from 9% to approximately 2%.

The line graph indicates the transformation about the fertility rates between China and US over an eighty year period (eighty-year period)

It is noticeable that the percentages of giving births in US and China fluctuate strongly over the first half of the period before a sharp decrease in the rest of the same era. Futhermore, in the US, the rate has tendency to be higher than China . (Overall, there was a considerable variation in the first 30-year period and downward trend in the remaining time)

A more detailed look at the graph reveals that there was a minor fluctuation in the fertility rates in both countries over ten year period (It is apparent that there were same pattern of constant changes in fertility for both nations between 1920 and 1950.)before they reached first peaks at nearly 13% in the USA and 15% in China.(In 1920, both countries started at the same point at approximately 10%. For the next 15 years, while the ratio of China’s childbirth reached a peak at 15% in the late 1930, a dramatic fluctuation was observed in the US at the same time) Since 1930, both nations plummeted suddenly and hit a low of to approximately 5% in 1940. A ten-year period later, both lines witnessed a rapid increase in the birth rates , in 1950 , China and US reached the second peaks, at 15% and 20% respectively.

Over the next 45 years from 1955 to 2000, there was a downward trend in the fertility ratio. In 1955, the proportions of births were totally different, with the rate of USA was considerably higher than China. From 1955 onwards, the plunge of fertility percentage in USA was from around 15% to 7% in comparison with China, from 9% to approximately 2%.
