The line graph shows three different crimes in England and Wales in 1970-2005.

 

The line graph illustrates how the quantity of three distinct property crimes varied in England and Wales from 1970 to 2005.

It is clear that in a decreasing order throughout the data-collecting period, the amount of car stealing was always the highest and followed by house burglary and last order was robbery on street. Almost street robbery’s figures reported flattened out and slightly went up in the last stage. Other categories occurred fluctuation in number, especially, the statistics of car theft significantly moved up and down.

During first 25-year period, the index of street robbery remained stable at 0.1 million and increased by 0.1 million in 1995 and kept that number until 2005. Besides, from 1970 to 1980, both the data of stealing car and burglary in house lifted up 0.4 million reaching 0.8 million and 0.6 million respectively. The amount of house burglary continued to maintain and lightly rose until 1995, it began to decrease to 0.5 million. The amount of car larceny also increased and surged to a peak of 1.6 million which was four times more than initial figures. From 1995, this disproportionate number dwindled considerably back to 1 million in 2005.
