As you know, education plays a vital role in shaping succesful people and lays the foundation stone for our future. It is not only more than just learning from book but also an effort of the older generation to transfer their life wisdom to their offspring. Our world is constantly changing and developing so it is very important to teach and bring up the intelligent one who could understand the problems of modern society and solve them in a proper way. Therefore, he role of teacher is extremely important, their mission is to impart knowledge to students and help thm complete well in their studies. However, with the development of internet nowadays, computer are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for teachers and classrooms.
It is clear that internet has provided us with access to many information than ever before. Learns have the ability to research and learn about any subject just only one touch. People agreed that computer is a very worthwhile tool for education. Wikipedia is a prime example, where students can type in any keyword and gain access to in- depth knowledge quickly and easily.
However, many people disagree and feel that technology deprives people of real human interaction. The main disavantage associated with the increasing use of technology i the decrease in face to face interaction between students. Students spend time on looking at the computer's screen than interacting with other people. This result in soft skills, such as verbal communication and empathy, being affected.
More importantly, students recognized that they are not dealing with a machine but with a human being who deserves attention and respect. They also learn the importance of studying in group and respect other students, which helps them to improve their social skills.
To sum up, in my personal view, the role for teachers in the learning process is still very important and it will continue to be in future because no machine can replace the human interaction and its consequences.
