The chart below shows the total numbers of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories from 1995 to 2002.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

  The chart illustrates how many minutes (in billions) of telephone calls were used in the UK, divided into three types, over the course of 7 years starting in 1995.

  Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that mobiles as well as national and international call types experience upward trends in a period of 7 years with the exception of local type. Besides, local type was the one registering the highest figures.

  It can be seen that in 1995, the number of minutes of local type stood at over 70 billions. This figure reached its peak in 1999 with the number of 90 billion minutes, marking an increase of 20 billions. Since then, however, this number gradually decreased.

  There was an upward rise in the number of minutes from national and international calls which grew from roughly 40 billions in 1995 to 60 billions after 7 years. A similar trend was witnessed in the time used by mobile users, which went up to just under 50 billions of minutes during the period of 7 years.
