There are many places in the world that I want to come to visit. Imagine one day I am on a train that brings me to anywhere I want, I wish that place would be my mother’s home country – Ninh Hai commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa. Last week I came there for the first time which was an unforgettable memory so I wish I could be there again.

My mother’s home country is adjacent to the sea. Every afternoon, my mother, my younger sister and I went for a walk to the beach and played in the waves. We had a good time here. I picked up many shells to make a necklace.

I also visited my relatives who were kind and hard-working farmers. I were warmly welcomed in their houses and each of them gave my family some fruit from their gardens. Besides, they cared for my health when I got carsick. They were not only hospitable but they were also caring, which really made me feel emotional.

In the evening, my mom took me to a house where she used to live and grew up. It was a very old house and everything there has remained unchanged since the day my mom left for Hanoi. When standing in the house and listening to my mom’s stories, I partly understood her childhood.

I had touching memories in my home country. I wish I were on a train that brings me to there so that I could meet my relatives and promenade by the sea again.

Trạng ngữ là "every afternoon" sao lại chia ở quá khứ đơn nhỉ.

Mình nghĩ "used to" thì hợp lý hơn vì đây là thói quen trong quá khứ. Không biết quan điểm của mình đúng hay sai ^^
