As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities. Do you agree or disagree?
It is argued that beside making money, enterprises also need to take responsibility for social issues. In my opinion, however the general profit is a priority of almost companies, I totally agree that enterprises should get a blame for the society.
On the one hand, earning money is an indispensable activity of businesses that bring several benefits for society as a whole. Firstly, when a company make money, they will pay taxes for government. The more money they earn; the more tariffs they contribute. Governments can use these taxes to spend on developing hospitals as well as promoting the education for young generations. Therefore, the quality of the whole community will be improved significantly. Secondly, by earning a huge amount of money, enterprises can grow their scale and popularize their image. For example, when the company use the capital to extend their business line, they will need more human resources and it makes more chances for people to find a job.
On the other hand, the activities of enterprises have a direct impact on the environment. First and foremost, without controlling, factories will create enormous emissions into the air and made water polluted. Therefore, if businesses do not take responsible, it will lead to some disasters and global warming. For instance, if factories installed a collecting waste machine instead of a harmful chemical stuff into lands and rivers, the pollution can be easily controlled. The second reason is that businesses should make a variety of opportunities for people by giving money from their profits back into the community through charity and financing scholarships. For examples, Unilever and Vinamilk enhance their image by giving charitable donations and creating a lot of scholarships for students.
In conclusion, however making money is a fundamental principle, I would argue that all businesses should reflect them on society.
