Several languages are in danger of extinction because they are spoken by very small numbers of people. Some people say that governments should spend public money on saving these languages, while others believe that would be a waste of money.

Language is a mode of communication in daily lives and without language, people would be more prone to lose a buttress.  In the light of the fact that some languages are on the verge of extinction, many people hold the view that government’s revenue should be spent on the maintenance of those languages while it is also argued that it is wasteful. It has long been my belief that rare languages should be preserved, no matter how much money the authorities have to spend.

On the one hand, the governments could be squandering the vast amount of money on the preservation of the languages that are predicted to disappear soon. Obviously, to preserve a language spoken by many people, the governments have to invest on facilities and teacher to create a provoking studying environment. However, even though money was spent, the languages have been studied by few groups of people. Additionally, the government spend money on studying environment and employment simultaneously as language, for example, has to be accompanied with the expenditure on tourism with the intention of introducing that language to people widely.

On the other hand, preserving a language should be a priority of government for two main reasons. Firstly, needless to say, a language expresses cultural identity. Consequently, were the governments not to spend public money to protect it, they would incidentally thwart cultural diversity. Secondly, rare languages would include innumerable information about the history, people, norms and values of society, assisting scientists in their research. This is illustrated by the tribes from remote areas, which is on at Recovery Channel. If scientists can communicate with the locals, it will be better for them to explore.

In conclusion, economic incentives should be done to preserve several languages for many reasons. Furthermore, each person could an agent active to aid the preservation of those languages by various ways, simply like studying a language seriously.
