Some people think robots are very important to human’s future development. Others think that they are dangerous and have negative effects on society. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In the history of mankind, possibly no century witnessed more progress in technology than the 21st century did, especially with the appearance of robots. It is well- acknowledged that robots have been favored as a key component of the development in the future while many people hold the view that there are devastating consequences from the use of robots on society. It has long been my belief that its benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

On the one hand, robots could cost a lot from government’ revenue. Actually, there are now various people in many parts of the world living in poverty and they need the help of government. Therefore, investing robots is not an urgent strategy. Moreover, it is imperative to note that the role of people would be downsized if robots were gradually dominating the communities. Clearly, once people are familiar with the help of robots, they will become passive, awaiting things done by those buttresses. As a result, robots can abate the independence of people.

On the other hand, firstly, it is undeniable that robots are assisting us in dangerous works. This is illustrated by the aid of robots in producing nuclear weapons. It would be more peril if workers have to expose directly to radiation; however, now is not a questionable problem insomuch as robots have appeared in the factories where operations are autonomous. Secondly, robots are beneficial to labor force. Instead of numerous workers, a robot can do all. This indicates that it is labor- saving to take an advantage of the functions of robots..

In a nutshell, there are both pros and cons in the development of robots. However, I would like to assert to importance of robots in our lives as they cater needs for all classes of people.
