The last recent decades have seen enormous charges in tourism aspect of most countries on over the world. However, going along with such development, tourism also exists many issues, one of them being a matter of argument today is that whether international tourists should pay the extra fee than local ones for cultural and historical attractions or not.

To begin with, it can be argue that there are some drawbacks of increasing the ticket price for foreign tourists in famous destinations. First of all, it may create discrimination among them and lead to misunderstanding because in these places, abroad travelers and local people are provided the same services, so why they have to pay more money than native visitors; they may think that the owners of these wonderful sites are abusing them. Similarly, the discriminatory pricing may be hurt their heart, which seems they are not welcomed by this country. Moreover, thanks to the holiday of foreign people, host countries collect a considerable amount of money through tax system and additional services like goods, food, souvenirs, accommodation and so on. Therefore, it is unfair to ask them for extra entrance fee that makes them decrease their excitement when travelling. This satisfaction can result in the reduction of tourists, what affects dramatically on country’s economy for a long run.

Nevertheless, viewed from different angles, the extra fee also brings some benefits for both tourists and the host country. It can be denied that the more money they spend, the better services are. The owners of cultural and historical attractions can take advantage of the money to protest the safety of these places in perfect conditions and improve the quality of services provided for overseas visitors like language, headphones, brochures and tourist guides so that they feel completely satisfied. Besides, the government can get more profits from the extra money to benefit the society and citizens in the developing countries especially.

In conclusion, on my view, increasing the price for foreign tourists in cultural and historical heritages should depend on the quality of services they provide visitors. However, I think that we have to treat international travelers as equally as we can to create the good impression on our country’s image.
