  The chart illustrates information about the most frequently sports performed in New Zealand in 2002. The features were compared are 8 popular sports and other activities played by girls and boys.

  Overall, both genders are likely to participate in all sports, whether boys are most fancy in soccer with around 25% compared to girls who most played Netball at just over 25%. Also, girls spent the least percent in Cricket with approximately 2% and boys at about the same 2% in Netball.

  Cricket and Martial arts have pretty the same percentage of boys with about10%, Tennis had the best equality with around 7% in both genders. In contrast, Soccer had large amount between Girls and Boys take part in with about 5% and 25% respectively. Other sports also take high proportion of player at about 29% in consumption (10% and about 19% for girls and boys).

  Athletics and Basketball both had the same proportion in both genders with around 5% and 7% respectively compared to Netball and Swimming which had the largest player with maximum 25% for girls in Netball and about 23% also for girls in Swimming.
