The line graph illustrates the amounts of fish and some different kinds of meat which was consumed in a European country from 1979 to 2004.

Overal, the consumption of fish remained quite stable, while the figure for meat fluctuated dramatically over a period of 25 years. In comparison with fish and two different kinds of meat, chicken usage undergone the most remarkable growth.

In 1979, beef was the most favourite food of European country. About 220 grams of beef consumed per person per week. In addition, lamp and chicken were eaten in similar quantities (approximately 150 grams) while the proportion of fish was the lowest, as there was only about 60 grams of fish was consumed at that time.

There was a very significant increase in the number of chicken from over 150 grams to around 250 grams, a rise of about 100 grams per person per week in just 25 years. The popularities of beef and lamp decrease by almost 100 grams, at over 120 grams and about 60 grams respectively in 2004. By contrast, chicken saw a slight drop in consumption, drop to the lowest point, at just below 50 grams.
