Traffic-related issues have become very serious in cities globally. What are the most pressing of these problems, and how can they be addressed?

Cities around the world are facing many problems relating to traffic. There are, however, problems which are more serious than others and require special attention. This essay will discuss the most urgent matters and measures that can be taken to combat them.

It is obvious that typical driving habits of commuters is the main reason causing traffic congestion during rush hour, especially in major cities. As most commuters live in surburban areas, they often travel to work in the same direction at the same time. As a consequence, a vast number of vehicles use traffic systems simultaneously. Another major problem is the inadequacy of public transport. While cars are quick and comfortable, buses and trains are often slow, dirty and overcrowded. People therefore will certainly choose their own automobiles over public transportation whenever they can.

There are several actions that governments could take to solve the matters described above. Firstly, a simple solution would be to impose heavy tax on cars, which will definitely reduce the total number of vehicles. A second measure is to introduce a driving tax or increase parking fee. More commuters will use public transport if it becomes too expensive to drive their own cars. Finally, together with encouraging people to use public transit, changes must be made to improve the quality of services. For instance, there should be special lanes designated  for city buses only and  zero-fare services could operate in some towns and cities.

In conclusion, traffic-related matters have become critical in cities throughout the world. Nevertheless, with the right actions by governments, these problems can certainly be solved in the near future.

Recently, big cities over the world have to deal with the many issues related to traffic. The most serious issue is traffic congestion in the urban around the world. From my perspective, there are several effective solutions to tackle this problem.

On the one hand, there are three primary reasons for traffic congestion. The first reason is that the majority of people prefer using their own cars instead of public transportation. The second reason is the lack of proper transportation infrastructure. The narrow roads are unsuitable with an increase in the number of cars. The third reason is that traffic congestion mainly occurs during the rush hours. People have to go to and leave from work or schools at the same time every day that leads an overload of road capacity.

On the other hand, there are a number of solutions to tackle traffic jams. The first solution is to reduce the number of cars on the road,  Government should supply more public transportation means. If there are enough convenience public transport options with affordable fares, such as trains, buses and tramcars, commuters will choose to use them rather than drive. The second solution is that Governments should invest more money in building and improving routes in order to meet the demands of citizens. The third solution is to decrease congestion at rush hours, Governments should apply road tolls and congestion charges for all drivers who enter in the busy areas of a city. This measure is not only beneficial to decrease personal cars, but also effective to strongly encourage people to use public transport.

In conclusion, congestion is the most significant problem related to traffic in many cities over the world, however, there are some solutions can be taken to solve effectively this issue.
