People in the lime light have a responsibility to set an example for others by their good behaviours. Do you agree?

In this day and age, being a celebrity does not simply living a life of affluence and reputation anymore, but bearing huge responsibilty rests on their shoulder. Some people believe famous people should establish a positive image given their profound effect. While this statement has its own validation, in my opinion, it would be wise to be objective and see famous people in different perspectives.

To start with, in the society that obsessed by the celebrity culture, it is undeniable that famous people should be mindful about their behaviours . By following every movement of their life and watching them on a daily basis, the public especially the young group see them as role models to look up to.  By this way, some fans apply their idol’s mottos and actions into their daily life with a view to showing their love and admiration. For instance, if a celebrity speaks out on matters of animal rights then their followers tend to care more about wildlife but if the opposite has become the case, the influence is, unfortunately, equally pervasive.

Nevertheless, laying all the blame on celebrities is unreasonable. Famous people, in essence, is merely human beings, who can make mistakes along the path of life. Hence, it is acceptable as long as they learn from their past and change for the better. This includes those who find fame at a very young age, when their cognitive abilities are forming and sometimes can not lead them towards appropriate comments and actions.

In conclusion, people follow what famous people choose to say or do, therefore there is a certain responsibility that comes with being a star. However, in some particular circumstances, tolerance and compassion is necessary to pave the way for the better.
