The graphs below show the enrolments of overseas students and local students in Australian universities over a ten year period.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

Answer

The graphs below illustrate the registrations of two types of students: overseas students and local students in universities in Australia between 2001 and 2010.

 

Overall, we can see that there were two increasing lines in the first graph. However, registrations of local students occupied the most but their commencing was stable through years.

 

Turning to the figures in further detail, the line of commencing in the enrolments of oversea students experienced a sharp increase, from about 15000 to 40000, after which it increased slightly. The total of local students was increasing, followed by sustainable stability, as opposed to the first graph's.

 

Looking at the remaining statistics that local students accounted for the most portion in total. Although the second graph's commencing was bigger than the first graph's, it is fluctuated, it reached the highest point at around 230000, then slightly decreasing til the year of 2006, and increased back again.
