The chart illustrates the proportion of unemployed female in 4 countries of the UK in 2013 and 2014. 


Overall, the unemployment rate of female in four countries of the United Kingdom in 2013 was higher than that in 2014. There was a decrease in the number of women who was not employed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, while the figure for Scotland witnessed a slight rise throughout the period. 


The share of female who did not have jobs in England started at 6,8% in 2013, after which it saw a gradual decrease to 6,5% 1 year later. Conversely, 6,1% of women did not work in Scotland in 2013, with a subsequent increase to 6,7%, making it the highest proportion in 2014. 


The rate of unemployed female in Wales was 5,4% at the biginning of the period, but later dropped to 5,0% in the last year of the period examined. Similarly, the share of Northern Ireland decreased considerably from 5,6% in 2013 to 4,6% in 2014.
