The bar chart provides the information about the proportion of past-time workers in four different nations of the United Kingdom from 1980 to 2010.

From an overall perspective, there has been a significant increase in past-time workers between 1980 and 2010, except for Northern Ireland. Accordingly, Wales stood out as the country which had the most percentage of workers.

In 1980, England accounted for about 25% workers, whereas Wales made up 31%. Moreover, both of the nations showed an upward trend in the percentage of past- time workers in 2010. In England, the proportion grew quickly to over 30% and in Wales rose to just over 35%.

Scotland had the least percentage of workers in 1980, with just over 10%. However, Scotland soared sharply to approximately 20% in 2010. By contrast, Northern Ireland is the only country which experienced a decrease. In 1980, it had around 15% of people which had a part-time jobs.
