WRITING TASK 1: FISH AND MEAT CONSUMPTION (1)

Question

The line chart illustrates the amount of money spent on various kinds of meat in a European country every 5 years during a period of 25 years starting from 1979.
      Overall, it can be seen that while the spending on chicken increased significantly, the opposite was true for beef. also, the figure for fish was lowest during the period.
      It is clear that the period from 1979 to 2004 experienced a fluctuation in chicken and beef. it is noticeable that the expenditure on chicken increased considerably, from approximately 150 to 250 grams per person. in contrast, the most dramatic change was seen in the amount of beef, which oscillated from 1979 to 1989, then plunged to about 100 grams per person in 2004.
      Also, the figure for lamb and fish stayed stable during the period and had a downward trend. it can be seen that an amount of fish stabilized during the period of time.
