Nowadays, many countries are currently experiencing problems which are considered as by far the most serious since the appearance of mankind. Many people argued that excess population is a reason for the majority of these pressing global issues. In my opinion, I completely agree with this statement due to negative effects on the environment, human life, and development of society.
One problem worth mentioning is the critical destruction of humanity in the natural ecosystem. Over-population phenomenon has resulted in the lack of natural resources, especially in crowded countries as the demand for essential needs such as clean water, electricity, as well as food is beyond the supplement of nature. Furthermore, in the modernized society, people want to save time, therefore, the excess usage of cars, motorbikes, buses, etc is becoming popular which makes the pollution of air quality. Moreover, with the industrial revolution, natural resources of water are being contaminated.
Another problem is the chronic shortage of housing in many major cities worldwide, especially in densely populated areas in the city center. Overpopulation means that the needs for housing and accommodation rise while the available housing is not able to meet the demand of living facilities. For instance, in Tokyo or in Ho Chi Minh city where is facing an excessive of citizens, there are plenty of tiny flats just 15 m-square. Also, human health has been severely damaged by toxic emissions from transportation devices, enterprise, and domestic waste.
In conclusion, I totally agree with the view that overpopulation that triggers the many above-mentioned problems. Therefore, the government should take action to slow down the growth of worldwide’s citizens. (269 words)
