Everyone has a place where they feel secure and peaceful. A place where all troubles and challenges seem unimportant and where one can simply relax and forget about everything. My Ho Chi Minh City has always been such a place for me. I was born and brought up there and I know the city like the back of my hand. Ho Chi Minh is a fantastic city to live in and one that grows on me more and more every day. But saying that, no city is perfect and while there are so many things I love about Ho Chi Minh City; there are some things I do not get warm and fuzzy about.

One of the most special places in Ho Chi Minh City are the local markets. The fresh product here is amazing: fruit, vegetables, grains, tofu, meat. My favorite area is the seafood section where you can buy eels, mussels, scallops, squid, prawns and all kinds of fish imaginable. The seafood is fresh that a lot of it is still moving when you buy it. Besides that Vietnamese food is considered to be one of the best in the world. Vietnamese dishes consist of a lot of fresh ingredients like vegetables, herbs, and spices. There is not much oil and a lot of the meat is grilled or boiled keeping the food healthier. In Ho Chi Minh City, you have amazing street food. The special taste of  ”Banh mi” (Vietnamese sandwich) will give you an unforgettable memory when you eat this.

The coffee chain stores are the popular business model in Ho Chi Minh such as Trung Nguyen, The Coffee House, but we can not forget the existence of small coffee shops that shape the culture of the coffee taste of people in Ho Chi Minh City. Every street, alley, and corner there always have a coffee shop and tiny local coffee where the seating is a stool on the sidewalk. Also, fruit juice is a great thing here; take a few steps in Ho Chi Minh and surely you will find a juice stall. People in Ho Chi Minh love their juice. Probably because of the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables everywhere.

On the other hand, there are some challenges and problems that need to be fixed out, the worst thing here is traffic. Traffic jams regularly happen in Ho Chi Minh City. The transportation system of my country is almost totally roads; therefore, the number of transportations such as cars, motorcycles, lorries, buses, trucks and other vehicles is more and more crowded on the streets. What will happen if the streets are obstructed by full of transportation and people want to come back home quickly in the worst weather or after a tired of the working day? At that time, the vehicles moved so slowly and some impatient drivers scream and hurry the vehicles in front of them.

As you can see so many great things about living in Ho Chi Minh City. That is because this city is amazing. However, I can hardly say that I love my hometown very much because I am afraid that it does not deserve my love. Up to now, I have been trying my best to work hard and lead a simple but respectable life here.

Everyone has a place where they feel defended and peaceful. A place where all troubles and challenges are seemed to be trivial and those can simply relax and forget about everything. My Ho Chi Minh City has always been such a place for me. I was born and brought up there and I know the city like the back of my hand. Ho Chi Minh is a fantastic city to live in and one that grows on me more and more every day. But saying that, nothing is perfect and besides so many things I love about Ho Chi Minh City; there are some things I do not get warm and fuzzy about.

On the one hand, I’m into enjoying Ho Chi Minh City.( bạn có on the other hand mà không có on the other hand or sth like that…) One of the most special places in Ho Chi Minh City is the local markets. The fresh products here are amazing (: fruit, vegetables, grains, tofu, meat. ). My favorite area is the seafood section where you can buy eels, mussels, scallops, squid, prawns, and all kinds of marine mammals. (The seafood is fresh that a lot of it is still moving when you buy it.) It’s recognized that Vietnamese cuisine is one of the most unique in the world. Vietnamese dishes consist of a lot of fresh ingredients like vegetables, herbs, and spices. There is not much oil and a lot of the meat is grilled or boiled keeping the food healthier. Referring to Ho Chi Minh is impossible not to mention street food, especially the special taste of ”Banh mi” (Vietnamese sandwich) will give you an unforgettable memory when you eat this.

The coffee chain stores are the popular business model in Ho Chi Minh such as Trung Nguyen, The Coffee House, but we cannot forget the existence of small coffee shops that shape the culture of the coffee taste of people in Ho Chi Minh City. Every street, alley, and corner there always have a coffee shop and tiny local coffee where the seating is a stool on the sidewalk. Also, fruit juice is a great thing here; take a few steps in Ho Chi Minh and surely you will find a juice stall.( People in Ho Chi Minh love their juice.) Probably because of the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables everywhere.

On the other hand, some challenges and problems are needed to fixe out, particularly in terms of traffic. The congestion regularly happen in Ho Chi Minh City. Means of transport (such as cars, motorcycles, lorries, buses, trucks and other vehicles) are significantly increased in the streets due to the rise of population. What will happen if the streets are obstructed by full of transportation and people want to come back home quickly in the worst weather or after a tired of the working day? At that time, the vehicles moved so slowly and some impatient drivers scream and hurry the vehicles in front of them.

As wonderful as it is, living in Ho Chi Minh City should be experience. I love my hometown but it’s hard to say but I am afraid that it does not deserve my love. Up to now, I have been trying my best to work hard and lead a simple but respectable life here.
