With the rapid development of cities and towns, more and more young people are moving from rural areas to urban areas with a view to having better jobs and lifestyle, and leaving their old parents behind. In the scope of this essay, the problems will be discussed related to this move and will also suggest an appopriate solution.

First of all, youngsters like to move to urban areas because there are better education and job opportunities there which they cannot find in rural areas. In cities, there are good universities which provide them better education and improve career prospects. Moreover, plenty of jobs are available in cities. This is the predominant reason why young people prefer towns to villages. However, this trend causes a lot of hardship to elder who are left behind. They have no one to take care of them, therefore, many aged people are now seeking admission in old aged homes where they may receive adequate care.

This problem can be solved if governments create higher educational resoures in rural areas. In addition, companies can also set up their factories in village in order to give more employment opportunities to young people. As a result of this, more people will like to stay in their hometowns.

To sum up, for youngsters, although there are more jobs and better lifestyle in urban countries, they cannot leave those who had worked hard to earn money to raise them behind. I do believe that governments can tackle the problem by creating more opportunities for younger generation living in rural areas.
