The line graph compares the proportion of car ownership in Britain from 1971 to 2007

It is clearly to see that there were three difirnet trends. In paricurlar, the upward trends were three or more car and two cars, whereas the number people of no car was down and one car remained stable.

In 1971, the rate households with no car nearly at 8 percent, but this number went down steeply at 25% in 2007. In contrast, the proportion of using two cars grown significantly from 8% in 1971 to 27% in 2007, We can see there also was a noticeable rise of households with more three cars from 2% to 8% in 2007.

Standing out of the changing, the percentage of using one car almost stable around 45%, this shows that it is common for families to use more three cars in Britain in all the time.
