Some people think that it is good for a country’s culture to import foreign movies and TV programmes. Others think that it is better to produce these locally. Discuss both views and give your opinion

People have different views about the influence of foreign entertaining programmes in term of a country’s culture. While I argue that it is a great idea for movies and TV programmes are imported, I also believe that those projects are produced domestically is a good view.

At the outset, there are two valuable benefits for foreign movies and TV programmes are broadcasted. Firstly, the people at large would have opportunities access to a variety of cultures, which will broaden their mind. By doing that, many businesses are likely to run, which promotes trade in that nations. In Vietnam, for example, the invasion of Korean films in the 1990s encouraged Korean lifestyle in the youth, which boosted the Vietnamese fashion industry. Secondly, a wide range of foreign films and TV documents forms a generation in that country for the promotion of learning languages. There is no doubt that the way to learn a new language successfully requires learners to understand the culture of that country. Through foreign entertaining programmes, people would reach the new culture easily.

Despite the fact that foreign films have significantly brought benefits to residents, from my perspective, I encourage the idea that these projects should be produced locally. A compelling reason is that foreign cultures in those movies tend to increase violent risks. A serial of films related to criminals would be a source of plans for those who will commit crimes. Another convincing reason is that the young generation would not preserve their typical culture when foreign movies become popularity. American and Western films, for instance, in Vietnam have been common in recent years. This causes gradual changes in the Vietnamese culture. Instead of supporting for activities in the Tet holiday, the majority of while-collars turns to propose that Vietnam should follow by West nations in New Year vacations.

In conclusion, although I claim that foreign films and TV serials are beneficial to a part of citizens, I also think that these should be manufactured domestically.
