It is impossible to help all people in the world, so governments should only focus on people in their own countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is true that the role of governments to deliver aid to all people in all around the global seems to pose a number of practical difficulties. From my perspective, I completely disagree with the notion that governments should merely focus on their citizens.
On the one hand, today, the way which governments undertake international missions for helping people in the world has been increasingly feasible. There are a handful of voluntary organizations that have brands in almost nations has been established, which has already received aid packages from governments to transfer to areas where are suffering the plight of the poor. Moreover, there are a variety of methods to send donations. Governments, besides providing financial aid, could donate other aid depending on their strength. Vietnamese authority, for example, usually send millions ton of rice to countries where are enduring flood or drought.
On the other hand, it is wrong for authorities to only pay attention to their citizens in the age of connection. Firstly, a catastrophe for the country tend to seriously affect to other nations. A typical example for this is that the nuclear disaster in Japan in the year 2014 cause tremendous damage to nations have costaline. Therefore, most nations have to work together to assist Japan in support of disaster recovery. Secondly, by offering aid to other countries, the governments obtains many valuable experience which allows their nations to have good preparation for coping with disasters. Ultimately, the actions of helping people outside territories would increase their credibility in the eyes of international friends.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the task of assisting humans in the global is the necessity of governments.
