Overall, the USA was the largest consumer of energy with 1,420 millions. However, Japan topped the growth in energy expenditure at 42.5%, followed by Australia at 21.5% and the USA at 13%.

Specifically, the industry sector and other sectors required similar amount of energy in three countries (about 35 millions in Australia, 150 in Japan and 420 in the USA) but grew in use at different rates. The rates were topped by Japan in these two sectors, at 39% and 46% respectively, however, between Australia and the USA, they differed strikingly in industry, at 28% and 0.9% respectively, and were similar in other sectors, at 16% and 15% respectively.

Besides, the transport sector saw a staggering quantity of energy spent in the USA, with 565 millions, followed by 96 in Japan and 28 in Australia. But it was Japan that recorded the biggest rise, at 52%, more than doubling those of Australia and the USA.

Whereas the proportion of growth up of energy in Japan occupied the greatest position with 42.5% compared to 21.5% of Australia and only 13% America.
