Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for gorvements to make it a legal requirement.

To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

These days, environmental pollution is becoming an increasingly serious problem so recyling is one of the leading issues need to be concerned. However, some individuals claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled and the only way to solve this problem is the gorvement should make it a legal requirement. As far as of my concern, I absolutely agree with this idea.

To begin with, it is a harsh truth that people in many cases abide by a rule only from the fear of a punishment not from their consience so there is no doub that laws play a vital role in the way to make people recycle more of their household waste. For instance, in every countries people have to stop the red light although they are in a hurry because of the fact that if they do not do it, they will be immediately punished by the police. Similary, if laws about recycling are introduced and made quite high by the government, there are a ton of people will not careless in their waste production.

Futhermore, the environmental pollution will be improved if the gorvement make the legal requirement about recycling and propagate it better to the people. On the grounds that normally these significant issues will be included in the provisions of law so the people will recognize how important recycling is. More detail, waste recycling  plays  an integral part in reducing environmental pollution which becomes more and more serious nowadays. If the household garbage is buried without recycling, it can takes hundred of years to decompose and the human have to face up to is air pollution. Then it is easy for people to suffer from some respiratory disease such as lung cancer or asthma.

From the above discussion, I firmly believe that impose laws about recycling is a necessary action which the government should do. Because thanks to some legal requirements the people will be more aware of waste recycling and our environment will be improved.
