Question

Lunar New Year is the most important holiday in VN. It always begin from 19^th January to 20^th February on the Western Calendar. Tet marks the beginning of the spring for the agrarian people and  starts the new year.

In VN, Tet is prepared before one months a long times, but nowadays  everyone decrease the busy of planning for all thing  which are shortened  on the other way. However, there being so much traditions that is still maintaining. For example, we always decorate house with red color because it brings load of luck. Besides, you can see many kinds of tree being bought at the market, especially kumquat tree and peach blossom, but they are used in Northern area. On the other hand, Southern area uses apricot blossom instead.

Difference from symbol of tree but we seem  to be similar to traditionally foods in producing and preparing ingredients. At Tet, we have Chung cake, which is made from rice, green bean, fatty fork , is wrapped with Dong leaves. We also have Mut, which is candied fruit such as sugared kumquat, plums, coconut and ginger. Mut is very popular, it is eaten with green tea and nut so that everyone is really into.

At New Year ‘s Eve , people spend time watching the blistering firework  all the country. It afford a great feeling to all of us. We also try to be nice and polite each other because we believe that what we do on the first day will influence our luck during the whole year. Children is received  lucky money from relative, their parents  and elderly people is also got a lot of blessing. Going to the pagoda is the custom in my country, it exists  to remind us of the legend having feat and conquest .

Tet is such a good time to gather with family after being busy during all year and it  is our enjoyable time!!!

In Vietnam..... one months  => one month

For example, we always...... color => colour 

At New Year's Eve...... It afford => affords
