Topic: The older generations tend to have very traditional ideas about how people should live, think and behave. However, some people believe that these ideas are not helpful in preparing younger generations for modern life. To what extent do you agree or disagree with these views ?

During the course of the history, the previous generation accumulated valuable knowledge from their intellect and experiences as well. With the development of modern society, in my opinion, although traditional ideas are outdated, others are still useful and worth being preserved.

First of all, with the development of modern society, belief about life gradually has subtantial changes. Thus, it is straighforward that many opinions of ederly people seem to become less relevant for younger generation. For instance, in the past, it was believed that men was seen as the breadwinners who supply the family’s main source of income while women was in charge of the households. However, this traditional perspective is not appllied to modern life. Nowadays, the gender roles have equality. Women can do tasks just as well as their male counterparts and have earnings equal or above their peers. More and more women have instilled in their opposite gender a respect for their efforts like Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel and Emma Waston

On the other hand, some traditional lessons are certainly applicable to the young people, in particular, to the modern world. For example, older generations attack great importance to humanitarian characteristics such as benevolence, empathy, helpfulness, politeness and so on. Besides, sound advice on working hard, persisting  and taking responsibilities  can surely benefit the yound generation, especially, they must prepare essential skills and knowledge to adopt to today’s competitive job market. Hence, some traditional views and values will be one of the key factors to help young people develop themselves as well as lead to successful lives from all the aspects.

To sum up, the viewpoints which the following generation inherits from older people should not dismiss, even though some of them may sometimes seem unhelpful and irrelevant  in today’s world

Chào bạn, mình có một vài góp ý cho bài viết của bạn như sau:

- "straighforward" thiếu chữ "t"  "straightforward"

- "appllied" thừa chữ "l" "applied"

ederly thiếu "l" "elderly"

"who supply the family’s main source of income while women was in charge of the households" nên sửa thành who supplied (vì bạn nói là In the past mà) the family's main source with income whilst women were in charge of doing the chores. ( supply somebody with something : cung cấp vật gì cho ai "household là hộ gia đình còn nếu ý bạn muốn nói là phụ trách, đảm nhận việc nhà thì dùng "doing the chores")

- "relevant for" sửa thành relevant to. relevant (to something/somebody) having ideas that are valuable and useful to people in their lives and work.

During the course of the history, the previous generation accumulated valuable knowledge from their intellect and experiences as well. With the development of modern society, in my opinion, although several traditional ideas are outdated, others are still useful and worth being preserved.

First of all (on the one hand ) with the development of modern society, (lặp từ: these days) belief about life (The core values of people) gradually has subtantial changes. Thus, it is straighforward that many opinions of ederly people seem to become less relevant for younger generation. For instance, in the past, it was believed that men was ( were) seen as the breadwinners who supply the family’s main source of income ( câu này cảm giác bị giải thích thừa) while women was (were) in charge of the households. However, this traditional perspective is not appllied to modern life. Nowadays, the gender roles have equality. Women can do tasks just as well as their male counterparts and have earnings equal or above their peers ( câu này tớ nghĩ nên viết thành một câu cho đỡ bị vụn câu: However, in modern life, a number of women refused to take on the traditional woman's role and they go out to work. ) More and more (ko nên dùng more and more trong ielts writing) women have instilled in their opposite gender (many men) a respect for their efforts like (such as) Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel and Emma Waston.

On the other hand, some traditional lessons are certainly applicable to the young people, in particular, to the modern world. For example, older generations attack great importance to humanitarian characteristics such as benevolence, empathy, helpfulness, politeness and so on. (không nên dùng so on). Besides, sound advice on working hard, persisting  and taking responsibilities  can surely benefit the yound generation, especially, they must prepare essential skills and knowledge to adopt to today’s competitive job market. (mình nghe nó lạ tai: to stand out in today's competitive job market hoặc là become more competitive in job market) Hence, some traditional views and values will be one of the key factors to help young people develop themselves as well as lead to successful lives from all the aspects.

To sum up, the viewpoints which the following generation inherits from older people should not dismiss, even though some of them may sometimes seem unhelpful and irrelevant  in today’s world
