The table compares the amount of water used for 3 different purposes in 6 nations in 2001. Overall, agriculture gained the greatest proportion of water usage.

As can be clearly seen that Australia and Canada achieved the highest water usage in domestics (341 and 279 m3) . Next came Russia and Turkey, accounting for 98 and 80 m3 respectively. The smallest proportion of water used in Canada and UK, according to 26 and 38 m3 in 2001.

Regarding to agriculture, there was a huge amount of water used in Russia and Turkey (1663 and 1462m3).  Canadian also used 1338m3 for agricultural activities. However, 3 other countries used less water, for about 605 to 810m3. Finally, 532m3 of water was used for industry by Canadian, gained the greatest number whereas China as well as Turkey the smallest. On the other hand, Canada and United Kingdom’s industrial water usage was 275 and 398m3 while only 96m3 of water was used by Russian.

In the nutshell, Canadian used the highest amount of water in total.
