Thanks to the rapid development of modern technology. There are various means of communication nowadays. Therefore, people can communicate with each other much easier.
Looking in back time, people have some traditional methods of communication include face-to-face communication and letters. Everything has changed now. This day, people have fax machines, computers, phones and so on. As a result, they have a lot of modern forms of communication such as email, call and messaging to communicate.
People’s social lives have got better than in the past. Firstly, they can save their time when used modern communication. For instance, If students want to contact with their friends for school’s projects, they simply create a chat group through iMessage. It’s a very convenient way for iPhone’s users to get in touch with each other without any costs. It also allows all users to send out voice messages, pictures and emojis!
Furthermore, by the Internet, people can talk to our friends anytime, anyplace, they do not need to go out to the cafe, restaurants to see their friends.
Secondly, in the past people led busy lives, they often did not have any communication with some of their friends for months. As a consequence, their relationship suffered. However, when they had email or messaging, they will connect with their friends easier and faster. For example, Anny is my best friend and now she is studying in Taiwan, I spend about 1 hour per day to talking with her. We share many stories about her life or my work. Therefore, we are best friend forever.
I think it is also difficult to argue that modern forms of communication have reduced the amount people see each other. In my view, the amount people go out and meet each other has increased. It has become easier to organize parties, and young people especially are able to introduce their friends to each other and in this way increase their social circle.
In conclusion, I disagree entirely statement in the question. Modern forms of communication have positive effects on the people’s social lives.
