The graphs below provide information on global population figures and figures for urban populations in different world regions.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where

relevant.

Given are the lien graph highlighting the data about world population growth over the period 1800-2100 and the bar chart illustrating how the urban population will change in developed and developing regions over 25 years since 2015.

Overall, global population woul rise dramatically despite having experienced a considerable decline before and developing region’s urban population was projected to keep incresing over the period of a quarter of a century while that figure of developed one will remain.

It can be apparently observed from the line graph that initially, global citizens stood at one million and wen up marginally for over a century. After that, there are a dramatic rise in the number of people and such figure was suopposed to achieve a record of over eight billion in 2040 before falling significantly and stood at six billion at the end of the period.

The bar chart shows that in 2015, there will be over two million urban citizens in developing sector and such figure in developed one will be 1.2 million. However, the situation is about to be dissimilar in two  part then. After a decade, the number of townfolk in developing region will double that of developed one and it will keep this upward trend till the end of the period. In 2040, developed region’s urban population will be four billion which is nearly twice as many as its figure at the beginning of the period and almost triples developed one’s number at that time.
