Psychologists have known for many years that colour can affect how people feel. For this reason, attention should be given to colour scheme when decorating places such as offices and hospitals.How true is this statement? How far does colour influence people.

Why aren’t traffic lights blue, purple and orange? It is not accidental to choose red, yellow and green to be the color of traffic lights. They have a certain effect on drivers. How about workers, doctors? Does color influence the quality of theirs work? In my opinion, it is no doubt that color plays an important role in designing offices and hospitals.

For example, in office, show rooms are always white because this color indicates respect and help the entity displayed in the room draw customers’ attention. Another important room of an office is the meeting room. Due to stressful negotiation, bold green and blue are used to alleviate annoying atmosphere.

If color is utilized to increase work efficiency, hospital’s color help patients neglect their diseases. It is peculiar to decorate casualty with red because victims definitely put up with color which evokes blood. Additionally, color must give patients hope. That is the reason why patient room painted with white. White is the color of sun light and hope.

No one can deny the crucial contribution of color to easing the stress at work and making patients happy. Finally, I’m looking forward to further uses of color not only in offices and in hospitals but also in prisons, and in other places.
