Many people use distance-learning programmes ( study material, post, TV, t he Internet, etc.) to study at home, but some people think that it can not bring the same benefits of attending college or university. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about the most effective way to learn. However, whether people use distance-learning programmes or attend college has caused a heated debate. My view is that learning in university has much more benefits than using distance-learning method.
First, it is obvious that for most students, having teachers available to ask questions and back their up is fabulous, which can foster students not waste time on sparing no effort to understand the whole lessons. This means that they will have more time to do different activities for their own sake. Therefore, it is crucial for students to attend the institutions.
Moreover, soft skills can be boosted during the time learning in universities. For example, how to accquire teamwork skills has become a hot topic after many companies regard the employees as unqualified due to their lack of teamwork skill. If graduates can know some know-how about teamwork, they will find not only a job in the future but also a satisfactory one.
That is not to say that using distance learning programe does not have its advantages. There are, of course, students interested in learning by themselves, so they can explore every corner of the subject which can enhance their creativity and indepedence. But unfornately, these people are few.
In conclusion, students should attend universities to acquire nessesary knowledge and skills in order to guarantee a higher rate of employment, thus making the society well. Meanwhile, we should not overlook the key role of self-learning of one students. By doing so, we can make sure that students will experience a fun and dynamic learning environment.
