As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing.

What factors contribute to job satisfaction?

How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

Employment is considered as one of the most major features in society. People, anyhow, spend great much time of their life working. Therefore, how well employees feel satisfied with their jobs substantially influences their individual life. Job satisfaction required a triple factor, inclusive work environment, relevant career and salary package. However, these factors are rather unexpected to cover all workers.

Apparently, work surroundings are the first point to perform satisfaction of employees. Spending considerable amount of time at work, healthy conditions are fairly reliable to maintain people’s happy life. Workers would carry out their work more effectively as long as they were provided friendly, comfortable and especially smokeless rooms. In addition, the second factor concentrates on people’s professions. Hospital managers should have studied to manage personnel rather than to help find cure for diseases. What students learn at university, somehow, had better be similar to their future careers. Finally, besides these two points of job satisfaction, income is regarded as the last target that staffs have been struggling with. It is unquestionable that people would apply for big-salary jobs rather than for companies paying them modestly.

In reality, jobs, nowadays, are looking for employees instead of the expectation that workers are searching for their satisfying jobs. Barely could people feel content to work because their main objective of working, again, is in order to earn salary as well as to enrich their life. Whilst a huge number of students graduate from universities annually, available vacancies are insufficient and competitive. Unemployment is under pressure in every country. Thus, to impose many requirements is unintelligent. Job satisfaction, however, is still expected to be provided for some inventive and talented workers.

To conclude, although the three factors contributing to job satisfaction is unexpected for all employees, but each individual person should have an opportunity to work happily and satisfactorily because most of their proportion is spent at full employment.
