The graph illustrates the proportion of New Zealand population devided into 4 different age groups over the period of 100 years starting from 1950, including future projections.

Overall, while the percentage of people from 25 to 37 is predicted to hit the lowest point, the opposite pattern was true for other aging groups. It is aslo apparent that the dominated figure was belonged to the aging group of people who was over 65.

As can be seen from the graph, the population of those from 25-37 moderately increased to approximately 23% for a decade, which was followed by a steady drop by 10% in 2000. However, the proportion of people over 65 reached the peak of 70% in 1990. Since then, the figure experienced a modest fall of around 61% in the following 10 years, but it's still the dominated group. Standing at a relatively low of 24% in 1960, there was a considerable rise to 49% in the percentage for people aged from 38 to 45 in 40 years later and slowly declined by 40 out of 100 people in 2000. Meanwhile, the aging group from 14 remained stable at about 5% over 40 years and then gradually went up to the same percentage as the group of those from 25-37.

During 50 years later, New Zealand is expected to witness a decrease of nearly 55%, 39% and 0% of the percentage of those over 65, aged from 38 to 45 and from 25 to 37. By stark constrast, people who aged from 14 saw a double at 20% in the population.
