Team sports like football are thought to bring about significant positive sides whilst engaging in individual sports is considered a superior choice. I will discuss both sides of this argument in my below essay.
On the one hand, playing sports in groups can be advantageous for people. Firstly, sports played in teams require the ability to cooperate with teammates and help players to stimulate their interpersonal skills. It is because team sports afford players chances to make new friends, enhance their communication skills and develop social relationships. Another worth mentioning benefit of team sports is that players could split the training court fees which are frequently exorbitant to a person. Therefore, playing sports in groups enables joiners to save a considerable amount of money.
On the other hand, individual sports are also an ideal choice. When playing this kind of sport, people may improve their personal skills by managing their emotions, coping with stress, building their confidence and self-esteem because there are no teammates to rely on. Moreover, another merit of personal sports is that players need to depend on themselves and build a strong mindset to overcome the setbacks they might face. Hence, individual sports provide players with better chances to challenge themselves by setting goals and achieving their bests.
In conclusion, these two types of sport can promote not only the physical but also the mental health of people who play them. Additionally, people are greatly encouraged to choose whatever sport they are interested in no matter if it is individual or team sport.
