Nowadays, many people are choosing to live alone. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?
The trend of people living on their own grows in popularity in this day and age. I am of the opinion that this trend is inclined to bring more demerits rather than the perks that it offers.
For once, the fact that living without anybody around can take a toll on emotional well-being. In case you live by yourself, it’s literally challenging for you to pour your heart out with anyone else whenever you encounter myriad obstacles on a daily basis. What is more, if you feel sick, you will undoubtedly manage on your own without the assistance of roommates. For instance, the scientists manifest that eighty percent of people living alone tend to suffer from mental illness such as: isolation, depression, frustration, ect… rather than the people living together with roommates. It stands to reason that living by themselves clearly has an adverse influence on mental health.
On top of that, the financial burden that single-person households have to address is inevitable. This will trigger a sea of people working from dawn till dusk with a view to making ends meet. It is common sense that the rental room, electric bills, and water bills take up at least one-third the overall income of residents. Without anyone sharing their financial burden, they will easily fall into arrears. My sister is a salient example. Because she is living on her own in Hanoi presently, she not only has to work unbelievably at least ten hours per day, but also tightens her belt to afford her expenses monthly. As a result, her academic achievement is none too good since, she wholly wants for time to study. Beyond any doubt, living alone does more harm than good.
From the aforementioned reasons, I suppose the trend of people living on their own will bring more numerous negative downsides to them and people should live together.
