There are understandable reasons why some people think a nation can both develop a successful economy and prevent the environment from being damaged.The first reason is that Firstly, the development of alternative energies has allowed countries to achieve both targets both develop economy successfully but also protect the environment.For example, many companies in American have to switch from using fossil fuels to renewable energies such as wind and solar power. Therefore, so that air pollution has been greatly alleviated.The second reason is that many countries are developing economy relying on sustainable tourism.For example, when visiting Nam Cat Tien National Park, which is a famous tourist destination in Vietnam, tourists visitors have to go sightseeing by eco-friendly vehicles such as bicycle and camp instead of staying at hotel.
On the other hand, it is believed some believe that it is unachievable to both develop the economy successfully and keep the environment clean. Firstly, many countries are developing economies relying on by exploiting and exporting natural resources.For example,This can be clearly seen in Vietnam, the exploitation of bauxite in the Central Highland has caused serious damages to the local areas.Secondly, some industries cannot be developed without affecting the nature the environment could be affected by the industrialization, which any developed countries have to undergo. For example, many trees are being cut down every day to provide material for the paper industry, then leading to degrading soil fertility, water and air.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that while both sides of the argument have their positive points , I’m I am inclined to believe that it is possible for a nation to we can achieve both a successful economy and a healthy environment because of thanks to the development of renewable energies and sustainable tourism.
