Culture is the mirror of the country people have different views about if tourism business truly preserve or give negative impact to the cultures which are developed for tourism. In my opinion, although it may cause negative affect, it offers more advantages in different aspects.

To begin with, there is a strong argument that toursim is destroying culture for profit. The first factor that cannot be ignored is the tourists. Cultural heritages which represent for the cultures of a country, but visitors come without good awareness. For instance, they even have irresponsible behaviours such as littering, drawing or carving on the subjects. In terms of home country, to satisfy visitor’s demands, food, festivals, costumes and other stimulating of a culture highlighted to attract tourists, that can cause damage to the unique of the culture. Moreover, commercialisation has made people not taking it seriously.

In constrast, it is undeniable that tourism brings a lot of positive impacts on culture. When tourists visit a destination, they will study about the history, discover specialties and especially enjoy sightseeing. Once they get home, they will share their experience, which also helps to promote that culture and attract more visitors. Furthermore, it helps promote economic incentives, tourism industry develop can rise expenditure. Money earned from that can be contributed to national budget, it will satisfy daily necessities which includes food and accommodation. Tourism is the key to maintainance of culture.

In conclusion, it is difficult to decide whether tourism brings more positive or negative impacts over culture issue. Government should put cultural preservation on the highest priority because it is longterm benefit.
