Many people believe that appearance plays an inevitable role in the development of the business, by contrast, others disagree with this statement. This essay will discuss both points of view and present my own opinion.
There are several reasons why people hold a belief that costumes need to be a crucial criteria that manager should pay attention to. Firstly, a well-dressed can create a sense of motivated, which means that it would encourage employees to perform well in their task. Some researchers illustrate that wearing the same uniform would improve their emotion by making the worker feel more equal with their colleague, as a result, it can enhance the labor productivity of the business. Secondly, it also an advantage of the business to gain a competitive edge. When a company sign a contract, having the employees who dress smartly can demonstrate that their workforce have a great discipline.
On the other hand, other factors seem to be more dominant than appearance. Some entrepreneurs claim that a successful company should enhance the work conditions in order to improve their revenue. Work condition is a concept which refers to lots of criteria such as the environment in their workplace, the quality of machines that they use or how many hours that they work, etc. Work conditions should rely on the desire of their workforce, that makes them feel more satisfied with their job. Another aspect that business also needs to be considered is the salary and the holiday entitlement.
In conclusion, although appearance plays a significant role in the company, we can't negate the importance of other factors. In my opinion, I think that businesses should not appreciate the costumes too much, they should think of another factor in order to create a consistency between the manager and the labourer.
