The given pie chart illustrates the average of using energy in Australian households and the percentage of the greenhouse gas emissions from water heating, heating, cooling, refrigeration, lighting and other appliances. The initial impression from the pie chart is the most of the energy is used for heating. While the second chart water heating released more gas emissions than other households

According to the first pie chart, heating makes up two-fifths of the total energy. This is followed by the proportion of water heating ( 30%), the other appliances (15%), refrigeration (7%). Cooling and light made up negligible 2-4%.

As it is seen from the second pie chart, water heating accounts for significantly about (32%). Gas emission of other appliances makes up quite high about 28%. Although heating is the household that wastes the most energy, it discharges about 15% of greenhouse gas emission.
