Question

    *Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.
    Discuss both view and give your opinion.*

          

    The development of modern society entails the growth in various progress such as economy, industry, etc. From my point of view, not only do economic progress need to be prioritized, but we should also promote others progress equally.    

       Initially, it is undeniable that economic development plays an important role in our life. As economy progresses , the living standard of citizens in the country may be raised positively, providing people with better environment both at work and their surroundings. Moreover, the economic growth, which is considered as a country's leverage, also supports others progress. By this i mean, economy provides sufficient fund for the progress in need of money in order to develop. Therefore, reassuring that country's position in the world.

        On the other hand, although economic development is believed to be at top priority, the power of a country should be followed by other types of progress, such as health care system. It is obvious that if we don't have strength, we can't go to work and earn money. Sooner or later, the country which omitted developing health progress needs to buy medicine from other countries, leading to the loss of money. Only when various progress are developed, can the country both improve and maintain either the economic growth or citizen's living standard. 
       As outlined above, I believe that government should not only prioritize economic progress but also develop others progress for satisfying the need of residents.
