Nowadays, television becomes a popular device in every house, so people also have many opinions about it. And one of the most common is it not only makes up too much people's leisure time but also make them inactive and obstruct them from interacting with others. I agree with these statements.

Television results in laziness and stagnation of people. It has many programmes and channels which attracts a big amount of spectators. Instead of hanging out with friends, which is complicated and tired, we can lay on bed and watch whatever we like without moving and has less problems than going out. For example, accroding to US Bereau of Statistics, in the 2013-17 period, people around the age of 15 and the elder spent 2 hours 46 minutes watching TV, amounted to more than 55.2% of the total time per day they spent on leisure and sports activities.

It also has an effect on our health. First, it can make us addicted to it and cause harmful consequences like losing weight, lose concentration on other works and changes on your regular life. Moreover, it can lead to some diseases such as obesity or myopia, which are the two most common diseases at the time being. Second, we may become more and more suffer from enclosed lifestyle, you always just want to stay home and less communicative with everyone. A statistic from the University of Texas at Austin shows that there is a correlation between excessive or marathon TV and feelings of depression, lonliness and guilt in hundreds of milennials.

In conclusion, watching TV is very harmful due to its effect on people activities and both metal and physical state. We need to be aware of this problem as fast as possible to prevent from worse results.
