The line graph gives data about how household car is used in Britain between 1971 and 2007.

It is clear that while the households witth one car and two or more cars increased throughout the period shown, the opposite was true for no-car households. Also, the percentage of people who have one car was the highest in almost years.

In 1990, the number of people using two or more cars made up only aproximately 10%, in comparision with 40% and 50% relatively on that of who own one car and no car. There was a significantly declined by 20% in the propotion of no-car ownerships during the next 15 years. In contrast, that of families with two and more cars fluctuated around 10% and similar with that of one car household which was followed by a peak of nearly 60% in 2005.

Throughout the remainder of the period, the figure of two and more cars families is estimated continue to rise, surpassing that of no-car households , and then catch up that of one car ownerships. The year 2030 likely see a fluctuation in one car households and a dramatically decrease of no-car families.
